In 2021, Progressives had 3 candidates in the Democratic primary. Eric Adams was considered unsuitable (and the results of his disastrous governance as NYC Mayor proved that!) But having 3 Leftists would split the vote. That means that 2 Leftists would drop out and support the 3rd, right? Wrong! Instead, their egos were too large and none of them stepped down. They refused to work together. They even attacked each other! The result was that Eric Adams won the primary. When you can’t even agree on a 1st & 2nd rank, RCV won’t save you.

And here we are today in 2025… with the Democrats making the same mistakes! Zohran Mamdani won the primary. If all the Dems dropped their egos and rallied behind Mamdani, Curtis would have no chance. But instead of coalescing around Zohran, they are attacking him! The Dem Establishment is now also attacking AOC for fun, I guess?

Eric Adams is acting as a spoiler and splitting the vote. Adams & Mamdani don’t peel votes from Republicans. They peel votes from each other. And now Cuomo wants to jump in as well!

The Democratic Establishment clearly hates their base. How many times are they going to violate the will of the people and disregard (or rig) their own primary?

Curtis Sliwa has his shot now. The best chance that he will ever have, most likely! I support a candidate based on their platform and my belief in them as a person. I don’t base my support on how good their chances are at winning (while ignoring who they are as people). That would be craven. Luckily, I am supporting a candidate who now has luck on his side! 🍀

Curtis Sliwa is running as pro-Sliwa and pro-New Yorker. Pro-law and order. He is not running as anti-Mamdani, which would be weak and reactionary. Curtis is showing what HE can do for us! He has worked to protect NYC for his entire adult life. Nobody has earned the position of NYC Mayor more than him.
